Ghana Food Festival Makes History with Prestigious World Culinary Awards Nomination

Accra, Ghana– The Ghana Food Festival (GFF) has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first
Ghanaian festival to be nominated for “Africa’s Best Culinary Festival” at the 2024 World Culinary
Awards.
This notable nomination places GFF among Africa’s premier culinary events, showcasing Ghana’s rising
prominence in the global culinary scene.
The World Culinary Awards is renowned for honouring excellence in the culinary industry, celebrating
the finest in food tourism and gastronomy worldwide.
This year, the Ghana Food Festival competes with prestigious events like Cairo Bites (Egypt), DSTV
Delicious International Food & Music Festival (South Africa), and EatDrinkFestival (Nigeria) for the top
spot in the African category.

A Triumph for Ghana’s Culinary Heritage

Founded in April 2023 by Pen it Multimedia Limited under the leadership of CEO Emmanuel T. Forson,
the Ghana Food Festival has quickly become a celebrated event, known for its vibrant display of
Ghanaian cuisine.
The festival attracts attendees, including food enthusiasts, chefs, and vendors from across the country
and around the world, offering an immersive experience of Ghana’s rich culinary heritage with iconic
Ghanaian dishes and beverages such as jollof rice, waakye, kelewele, sobolo, asaana, and banku.
“We launched the Ghana Food Festival to share our love for Ghanaian cuisine and support local

Naseem, Dubai.
